Bronwyn Davies is one of those people.
We’re thrilled to welcome her as Pryzm’s new Chief of Staff, where she’ll serve as a strategic partner to Co-Founder and CEO, Nick LaRovere, helping align priorities across teams and keep critical initiatives on track. Her role, much like Pryzm’s mission itself, is about connecting the dots—bridging strategy, execution, and mission outcomes.

To help you get to know her better, we sat down with Bronwyn for a quick QA.
What drew you to Pryzm?
Pryzm came onto my radar after their most recent funding round, and I was immediately struck by what a small, nimble team had accomplished in such a short period of time. They’ve already become a familiar name in the defense space, are on contract with the government, and are supporting some of the most exciting emerging defense tech companies.
That combination of operational rigor and mission focus—tackling one of the government’s most important challenges, how we buy, build, and manage innovation—was impossible to ignore.
Beyond that, at the end of the day, we all want to work on something that matters. At Pryzm, that means getting critical technologies to the field faster, supporting America’s leadership in the defining technologies of tomorrow, and contributing to the future of national security. That’s exactly the kind of work that excites me.
After talking with Nick and the team, it was a quick yes.
Can you tell us a bit about your background?
Before Pryzm, I worked in investment banking and private equity, which gave me a front-row seat to how strong teams and disciplined operators help companies succeed. Many of the operating partners I worked with were ex-military, and I learned a lot about accountability, execution, and driving results in complex environments.
At university, I was a dual-sport athlete while managing academics and high-intensity internships. Balancing all of that taught me how to navigate competing priorities and context switch—essential skills at a startup.
What excites you about the defense innovation ecosystem right now?
We’re at a really interesting point in defense and tech. Investment is booming, new companies are popping up with exciting solutions, and the public-private collaboration landscape is shifting. Sometimes a few macro factors line up just right, and you get a rare opening to make real change. That’s exactly what’s happening now—and Pryzm is right in the middle of it. Being part of this moment feels exciting and meaningful.
What’s your leadership philosophy?
I’m big on setting a thoughtful strategy and acting decisively, but the thing that really matters is the team. People are the lifeblood of a business, especially in a startup. The right people in the right roles can make or break you. My approach is simple: build trust, set clear goals, and make sure everyone understands how their work connects to the bigger mission.
How do you define success as Chief of Staff?
For me, success is making life easier for the CEO—and by extension, the whole company. It’s about creating clarity, structure, and process in the kind of ambiguous, fast-moving environment startups live in. Ultimately, if I’m doing my job right, things just run.
Where can we find you outside of work?
I love anything outdoors, especially skiing and hiking, and you’ll often find me taking my dog for a walk around the Castle Island loop in South Boston. I also spend my summers up at Lake Winnipesaukee. It’s a great place to unplug and recharge.
